For determination of the required length of rock bolts for the stabilization of the rock columns against flexural toppling failure the equations given in previous sections can be used. In Eqs. (12) and (13), if the factor of safety is replaced by an allowable value, then the calculated parameter t will indicate the thickness of bined rock columns which will be equal to the safe length of the rock bolts.
