On Chinese and Japanese Differences of Aesthetic Consciousness from the Perspective of Peony and Cherry Blossoms Abstract: As a cultural product, the contents of flowers are very rich. Based on the contrastive analysis of the images of peony (national flower of China )and cherry blossoms (national flower of Japan ), this paper reveals the differences of aesthetic consciousness between China and Japan. Be sides, it has done a preliminary study on the reasons for the formation of differences in terms of geographical environment and social environment.
