“freedom, equality” became the special force encouraging the westerners to strive for their happiness, the western values supplied people with the opportunity to enjoy their life and ensure the nation’s success. Until nowadays, these values are still inspiring people to struggle forward. When Bill Clinton, the forth-second president of the United States, addressed the students of Peking University in June, 1998, he said, “The struggle for individual freedom is the struggle for the nation’s freedom. The struggle for your own character is the struggle for the nation’s character.”9РUnfortunately, although this value brought western countries prosperous and developed society, it will run to egoism if people let it be.
