In Chapter Five, based on Skopos Theory, the author suggests some basic quality criteria of escort interpreting performance, and accordingly offers five possible strategies to achieve the specific purpose of escort interpreting under different circumstances: foreignization, amplification, omission, paraphrase, and adaption. РThe innovation of this thesis lies in that some of the examples are based on the author’s personal experience as an escort interpreter.
