The most important thing is for people to recognise the benefits that having a good social life would bring. Once they realise this, they can doa number of things to help themselves. ? Get to know people at school, work and in the neighbourhood and invite them to your home if possible. They will then be more likely to invite you out. ? Make time for yourself, even if it is only one evening a week on which you don't do any work. Make this a regular time and don't change it. ? Talk to people when you do meet them and take an interest in them. ? Even if people suggest going somewhere that you don't particularly like, go anyway and try to enjoy yourself.
