China) Abstract : This paper analyzes position and function of the metal belt type continuously variable transmission , position and working principle of electric control system , based on which the author designs the control scheme and hardware of the system .A hardware circuit has been designed by SCM control system which based on C 164 CI microcontroller , to achieve the electronic control of the CVT transmission ratio , the clamp force and the starting clutch .
