Engineering, Nanjing University of Technology, Nanjing 210009, China Abstract:Potassium exchangedNaY molecular sieve samples were analyzed with flame photometer and XRD, and the relationship between peak values inXRD spectra and ion exchange degree was studied. The result showed that there were pretty good linear relationships between both of intensity percentage andarea percentage of the peak at 2è =20.3oin full scale of the spectra and potassium ionexchange degree. The relative errors calculated according to these two linear relationships are less than 2.0% and 5.5% pared with the experimental values got from the flame photometry. This means XRD intensity or area can be used for the quantitative determination of ion exchange degree. Keywords:Ion exchange degree, Molecular sieve, XRD
