Common Mode Analysis: An analysis performed to verify t hat failure events identified in the ASA/SSA are independent in the actual implementation. COMMON MODE ERROR: An error which affects a num ber of elements otherwise considered to be independent. COMPLEXITY: An attribute of functions, systems or items, which ma kes their operation, failure modes, or failure effects difficult prehend without the aid of analytical methods.
