he front. This giant arched gateway was built in the Chinese style with ice blocks cut from the Songhua River. Sculptors use saws, chisels and other tools to carve and build. Then they decorate the sculptures with colorful lights. The park is designed into several scenic areas, such as“ Golden Rooster Crows ”,“ Great Achievements ”,“ Chinese Patriots ”, “ Ice and Snow Playground ”,“ Famous Pagodas ” and so on. There are about 2000 sculptures on show this year. They vary in style and size. Many are unique and full of aristic conception. If you have some time left after you have walked all around, you can also try a slide down from a high slide made of ice in the shape ofa pagoda.
